The goal was to explore the importance of the hands-on phases of the design process. As design students, we were often led to produce shiny renders and fine presentations of concepts that probably wouldn't work in real life. We wanted, then, to get dirt under our fingernails and learn to really build stuff.

Our challenge was to design a set of furniture for our University's design workshops, providing them with useful surfaces and volumes they lack, but most importantly showing our professors and colleagues that we can - and should - get busy building real-scale prototypes of our projects.
